Nothing officially kicks off the festive countdown in town quite like the Wolverhampton Christmas Lights Switch-On.
Taking over Victoria Street for a full afternoon of festivities, the city centre transforms into a vibrant gathering spot filled with live performance, fairground rides, and a great community buzz.
The stage lineup gets underway from 3pm, setting the soundtrack for the afternoon leading right up to the main switch-on at 6pm. The entertainment brings together an eclectic mix of talent, featuring The Voice standout Callum Doignie, vintage harmonies from The Ronnies, and high-energy sets from Masti Music. You will also catch performances from The People’s Show Choir and the young performers of Big Arena Performing Arts School, covering a great mix of crowd favourites and festive anthems.
Beyond the stage, warm street food and drinks will keep you going, alongside funfair attractions, free face painting, and appearances from familiar faces including characters from Toy Story and the Elf on the Shelf. Whether you want to see the city centre illuminated for the season or simply fancy an afternoon out with live music and good food, it makes for a brilliant way to spend a Saturday in Wolverhampton.
Light switch on at 6pm.
