Ska Day Party

The Midlands has always had 2-Tone and ska running straight through its veins, so an afternoon dedicated entirely to offbeat rhythms, punchy brass sections, and proper dancefloor energy makes total sense around here.

The Ska Day Party takes over a full Saturday afternoon to celebrate the sound in all its glory. The soundtrack spans every era, bouncing seamlessly from vintage Jamaican rocksteady and foundational 2-Tone heroes like The Specials and The Selecter, right through to the infectious pop of Madness and high-octane ska-punk anthems.

There is a special charm to a proper daytime session. You get all the buzz and sweat of a packed club floor, the joy of singing along to legendary horn lines with a room full of like-minded people, and you do not have to wait until midnight for the room to find its groove. It is an unpretentious afternoon out where smart mod style meets pure party atmosphere.

Whether you spent your youth skanking to the original movement or simply appreciate music that makes it impossible to stand still, gather your mates, grab a drink, and enjoy one of the most uplifting musical gatherings coming to the city.
