Ashley Allen Quartet – Live Dinner & Concert
Saturday 2nd May | 6pm – 11pm | Wolverhampton
Jazz at Bank de Léon returns with another special evening of live jazz in Wolverhampton, welcoming the exceptional Ashley Allen Quartet for a unique Dinner & Concert experience in the West Midlands.
Following the beautiful launch of the Jazz at Bank de Léon series, this edition arrives during International Jazz Appreciation Month, celebrating the timeless legacy of Miles Davis and the spirit of modern UK jazz.
For this special performance we welcome Ashley Allen, one of the most exciting rising talents in the UK jazz scene. The Birmingham-based keyboardist, composer and producer has been creating major buzz across the country, with his latest album reaching the top of both the Amazon and iTunes jazz charts.
Ashley was also recognised by Jamie Cullum as one of the next rising stars of UK jazz, later appearing on the Jamie Cullum Recommends programme on BBC Radio.
His career has taken him to some of the UK’s most respected stages including:
• Cheltenham Jazz Festival
• Mostly Jazz Festival
• Symphony Hall Birmingham
• BBC Introducing at Maida Vale
Internationally, Ashley performed at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Australia, and later served as Musical Director for the 2023 Birmingham Festival commemorating the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
He has also performed alongside legendary artists including Grammy Award-winning icon Dionne Warwick, and toured internationally with acclaimed musicians such as Julie Dexter.
