Blackadder Goes Forth

The year is 1917. Somewhere on the Western Front, Captain Blackadder is doing everything in his power to stay alive, stay out of the firing line and maintain what little remains of his sanity.

Unfortunately for him, he's surrounded by idiots. Join the gloriously inept Captain Blackadder, the cheerfully clueless Lieutenant George, the ever-resourceful Private Baldrick, the bombastic General Melchett and the wonderfully officious Captain Darling in this stage adaptation inspired by the much-loved Blackadder Goes Forth series. From the trenches to the officers' mess, from military blunders to hare-brained escape plans, our five heroes - if that's the word - navigate the absurdity of life on the Western Front with sharp wit, unforgettable characters and more cunning plans than you can shake a stick at. And they're not alone. Along the way, they'll be joined by a whole host of memorable characters, each bringing their own particular brand of chaos, eccentricity and questionable military expertise to the battlefield.

Packed with classic comedy, outrageous characters and plenty of moments to make you laugh out loud, Blackadder Goes Forth is a hilarious and poignant journey through one of television's most beloved comedies.

So polish your boots, grab your helmet and prepare to go over the top… Just don't expect everything to go according to plan.
